Precision Broking is a specialist broker formed in 2010.  We run the UK’s Firework/Pyrotechnic and Special Effects Insurance facility, Pyro Cover.  The facility has run since 2010 and we extend our operations to Belgium, Dubai, Eire, France, Israel, Malta, Netherlands and Spain.  During the period of the facility our client base has extended into the commercial application of pyrotechnics and explosives.  It was our experience running Pyro Cover and the facility’s ability to create a product range with sustainable and stable premiums over 14 years that persuaded us to create Commercial Explosives Insurance and deliver the same benefits to the Commercial Explosives Sector.   This facility was developed in conjunction with IExpE and it’s aim is to deliver improved access to the insurance market for members of the sector with premium cost supported by a growing industry specific premium/claims data pool.  Historically each member of the sector has been treated as a unique risk and most commonly buying from the London or Lloyd’s market. Insurance coverage if available has often been unsatisfactory and premiums expensive. 

Our facility has access to specialist underwriters familiar with the range of operations in the sector We insure a range of activities within the Explosives/Munitions sector including Manufacture, Drilling/Blasting, Demil, Ballistic Ranges, Test Facilities and Laboratories and are able to offer a range of policies including but not limited to Liability, Property, Professional Indemnity, Motor Fleet, Marine Cargo, Personal Accident and Travel.  Through this facility we will provide sustainable access to the insurance market, improving cover and reducing premium levels utilising demonstrable industry claims performance.
